CSKA Sophia Gardens club captain Jordan Lloyd was voted as the Player of the Month for October at the club's monthly awards night.

Lloyd was praised for a string of superb performances against Llanishen Wanderers, Eastern Tigers, and Welfare Park FC as he beat full back Huw Williams and keeper Alex Skinner, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, to the trophy.

Top scorer Cai Mckenzie walked away with the Goal of the Month award for his last minute equaliser versus Llanishen Wanderers. Rich Hamlett came 2nd with his stunning curled strike against Eastern Tigers with Cory Mackay coming in 3rd for his solo effort in the win over Welfare Park FC. It was undoubtedly one of the most competitive Goal of the Month competitions in the history of the club.

The Brown Ale Moment of the Month was shared by manager Steve Day and keeper Skinner. Day was up for three nominations including miscounting numbers at training and leaving his passenger car door open in the pouring rain for a whole training session.

However, it was his act of forgetting to bring the Brown Ale Moment of the Month t-shirt to the last awards night that saw him share the award with Skinner who was voted for after dropping a high ball into his own net in the win against Welfare Park FC.
